A newly created position to improve our growing Data team.The Data team is responsible collecting, structuring, labelling, and making research data available to the AI and Clinical research teams.
  • Responsible for developing and optimizing current and new data pipelines.
  • You are creative and experienced data engineer. You have solid experience and a keen interest in database modelling and management.You are knowledgeable in other data engineering domains (eg: code versioning, unit/integration testing, batch processing, virtualization).

ABOUT THE POSITION

The data team ensures that researchers in different departments have access to large and qualitative data sets.

Within this context, the data engineer will be asked to:

  • Develop and optimize existing and new databases and data pipelines
  • Test data pipelines
  • Contribute to data modelling
  • Create and maintain data tools that enable analytics

Your degree and general description:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a CS-related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant data engineering experience

Your professional qualification and skills:

  • SQL: PostgreSQL
  • NoSQL: MongoDB (required), Redis (desirable)
  • Programming: Bash (required), Python (required), JS/TS (an advantage)
  • Virtualization: Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Scheduling (an advantage): Airflow, Luigi, Prefect
  • Git workflows (an advantage)
